Evolving Roles for Visualization in Science and Education
Welcome to the home of a collaborative community of scientists, researchers, and educators, who share their common interest in visualization in science and education. This site provides information on the 2013 Gordon Research Conference on "Visualization in Science and Education" and pre-conference workshops.
The 2013 Gordon Conference on Visualization in Science and Education will continue to challenge our vibrant and cohesive interdisciplinary community to explore how visualizations of data, concepts and phenomena (from simple to highly complex) can best be used to increase understanding and facilitate learning at all levels. The immense computational power, large data sets, and online tools that are now available to all disciplines and even the general public are dramatically changing what can be visualized and even the very process of creation.
An Outstanding Conference!
GRC statistics show that this is consistently one of the most successful GRC conferences. The conference offers a unique blend of many very different disciplines as well as innovative pre-conference workshops that provide valuable "hands-on" experience for conference participants. The Visualization in Science and Education GRC has been featured three times on the cover of Science!
